  • A. I’m half Scottish, half French. I live in Paris. I've always wanted to be a painter. As was a child, I was drawing everywhere...

  • Q. What is your creative process ?

  • A. I usually have a clear idea of what I want. But it rarely ends up as planned. For my portraits, I usually work from a photo.

  • Q. Your main character trait?

  • A. Optimistic and anxious, a weird combo.

  • Q. Describe your work in three words...

  • A. Simple, quiet, gentle.

    • Q. Flower and women are the main focus of this series, what fascinates you about them ?

    • A. Their ephemeral beauty. We get a quick glimpse of their youth before it fades away. To me, this shows how delicate and fragile beauty and youth are. Time slowly takes its toll and willing or not, nothing stays permanent.

    • Q. Who are the contemporary art figures who influenced you the most?

    • A. Laura Knight and John Everett Millais. 

    • Q. What makes you laugh?

    • A. Everything and nothing!

    • Q. What do you enjoy the most about your friends ?

    • A. Sharing a good meal and a good laugh.

    • Q. If you could have diner with anyone dead or alive?

    • A. My family.

    • Q. Are you experiencing any blocks in your practice right now ?

    • A. I always have ideas, so many I don’t know if a lifetime will be enough to make all of them happen.

    • Q. Your dream of happiness ?

    • A. I’m already happy. Happiness is a state of mind ;)

    • Q. What makes you excited about the future ?

    • A. Painting, painting and painting!
