• Q. Tell us about yourself and how you came to be an artist…

  • A. My dad used to collect all kinds of books, and the ones about painters and exhibitions caught my eye. I started painting at home when I was 15, and by the time I was 24, a known gallerist noticed my work. That's how it all started.

  • Q. What is your creative process ?

  • A. My ideas come from observing everyday life, both from where I live and from the media too. I then use photos or models to put together the image I have in mind.

  • Q. Your main character trait?

  • A. I don't really think about my character; maybe that's my main character trait.

  • Q. Describe your work in three words...

  • A. Intimate, impulsive and bittersweet.

      • Q. Your favorite color ?

      • A. At the moment, pink.

      • Q. How does sensuality play such an essential role in your practice?

      • A. I guess it is living in Rimini, Fellini's hometown.

      • Q. Who are the contemporary art figures who influenced you the most?

      • A. I'd say Matisse, Lucian Freud and Federico Fellini are the three that first come to mind.

      • Q. What makes you laugh?

      • A. My kids and Family Guy.

      • Q. If you could have diner with anyone dead or alive?

      • A. Pablo Picasso.

      • Q. Are you experiencing any blocks in you practice right now ?

      • A. It rarely happens and when it does it doesn't last long.

      • Q. Your dream of happiness ?

      • A. Keep living my life the way I do now.
